MLM secrets - Have you heard about the internet

In today mlm training I would like to teach you about one of the mlm secrets called the internet!

The internet is the best lead generation ever created. It will allow you to target your market and open the whole world for you. If you are not using the internet for your lead generation effort then you are still fighting with a sword in 2006!

Anyway, one of the major questions I get is: How to drive traffic to a website?

I have plenty of tips in the post archives

I will remind you about the basics: (Look for the details in the post archives)

1) Make sure you send your visitors to a Webpage where they have the option to get something for free so you will have to chance to contact them by phone and follow-up with them automatically through auto responders. For example, when you visit my blog here I offer you a free e-book MLM Success in 10 Steps for this reason ;)

2) There are two major ways of getting visitors to your website: Paid and Free. It is going to cost you either money or time! You have to judge which one do you have more?

What are the Free ways of getting visitors to your website or lead capture pages

-Forums: by visiting forums and getting involved in discussions, you are allowed to have your signature file. If you help other people and provide information then they want to know about you and they will visit your website.

-Visiting blogs and commenting on them: For example, if you comment on my blog you are allowed to have a link to your website and you can get some of my website visitors to check your website. You can visit multiple blogs easily and comment on the posts. Go to blogsearch.google.com or to any other blog search engine and you will find plenty of blogs about your particular interest. If you are commenting on my blog, you better have a nice comment ;)

-Article writing: You can write articles about your product or your opportunity and post it in the article directories and send it to ezine publishers. -

Get a blog like this one and start writing your ideas about the products of your network marketing company or your opportunity. You can have one for free if you are short on money; there are plenty of places to make your free blog. Check www.blogger.com and www.wordpress.com

-Traffic exchanges such as traffic swarm and instant buzz: this will allow you to click on other people's advertisements and you get credits and other people will see your advertisements. Beware of all the spy wares though. Time wasting :(

All these methods will cost you time.

What are the paid ways of getting traffic and visitors to your mlm company or better to your lead capture page

Whenever you want to pay for advertisement, you have to do some math (sorry).

You have to put a budget, for example you are going to pay $30, if you get 10 leads and no one signs up then you never repeat this process again. If you pay $30 and you get 3 leads but highly motivated people, one signs up and you make more than $30. Then you repeat again and again.

That's what you call Return on Investment. Repeat what makes money for you and stop what waste your money.

(Make sense but most people waste their money on repeating advertisements that do not work!)

That's called testing in marketing: sometimes you have to waste money till you find the best formula for you. Expect it to happen and if you can not live with this idea then use the free ways till you make some money that you can use for testing.

-Paid per click programs such as Google adwords, overture and other minor ones. Paid per click advertisements are those advertisements on your right side that you see in search engines under the 'sponsored links’. Paid per click will allow you to bid on 'keywords' and the one who bid higher he gets his website higher on the search engines ads. This method will get you immediate traffic but may waste your money! Check Perry Marshall 5 free email lessons before you get into pay per click deals.

- Newsletters advertisements: You find ezine or newsletters about your topic of interest and you place an ad. You can use top sponsor ad or a solo ad. Before you pay any ad for any ezine, subscribe to it so you appreciate the quality and what type of people is reading it. Again you test and evaluate!

-Press releases: You can make a press release about your products or your opportunity. There are free press releases but I found them ineffective personally. When you pay like $80 then you get significant exposure.

What do I use personally right now?

I use a blog and article writing and this is how you arrived here :)

I used forums, blog commenting and traffic exchanges but it wasted too much of my time.

I hope these would help you generate your leads.

Get a lead capture page if your mlm company website sucks, most of them do, including my own network marketing company, lol.

MLM Secrets - Are you swimming against the flow?

In today's MLM training, I would like to share with you one of the MLM secrets that you must understand in your network marketing business.

You should follow your personality type doing the business and not change your personality.

Let me explain. I did talk to two people this evening. Both ladies are 'blues': that means they like to have fun, they are open and direct.

One of them is very successful in her business and sponsoring people everyday.

The other is struggling big time and getting depressed!

The successful lady is in a travel business and she is having fun doing the business! No wonder she is able to sponsor people. She will never stop working in her MLM and she will never quit!

The other lady is struggling big time and why?

Because her idiot upline and her stupid network marketing company 'leaders' told her to chase her friends, family and cold call her neighbors.

What is she getting? Rejection and Pain!!

If you are following my posts I have discussed with you that #1 lesson you must teach your distributors is: Rejection Free Prospecting! If your distributors are having fun and they are not stressed out, they will stay with you for hundred years even if they don't make money!

Forget this piece of the puzzle; your distributors will get plenty of pains and rejection. No wonder they quit. Your distributors will never want to talk to anyone anymore, they are going to hide in the closet; their self esteem is in the mud. Then they will tell you that MLM is just a scam!

Do you understand where this objection is coming from?

Did you remember also in prior post how crucial is the self esteem in this business?

How do you expect to be magnetic with poor self esteem?

What is the purpose of sponsoring people if they keep quitting on you?

Where is the duplication? Are you duplicating the pain! :(

mlm tips - signature files

One of the mlm tips I would like to share with you is the misuse of signature file.

What is a signature file?

Signature file is those couple of words below your name usually in an email or other document.

For example I use two different signature files:

What is your signature file?

It should be sort of a small add or a small pitch.

Signature file is useful to pitch anyone on your network marketing company rejection free.

Mistake #1: They have only a url of a website that doesn't mean anything!

Mistake #2: The url takes them to a company website without any way to capture their information!

Most people visit your website, if you can not capture their attention so they give you their name and at least email, you can not get in touch with them again and they are never coming back to your website.

Your website should never be your company website but a capture page or a website with popup similar to my blog here.

Network marketing mistakes that you should avoid

I would like to talk about network marketing mistakes today. I received a question recently: How to stop losing money in network marketing? I will talk about the wrong ways of marketing that waste money then I will discuss afterwards how to make your marketing works so it makes you money. Most people join network marketing companies to make money and to get rich. The facts are: Many people lose money! How do they lose money?

  • They may have listened to their upline!
  • Let me explain, initially when I started in network marketing two years ago, I was working with a company where no one has any clue about marketing. All what they teach you is to make a list of your friends and family! Then I asked those uplines what to do next: they told me to start mailing packages about the company! I did not like their idea because I did not like the letter and the target of mailings, but I was supposed to be teachable and I decided to listen... I mailed about $800 worth of these packages and I never heard from anyone! That does not mean direct mailing is a bad idea but mailings with a horrible letter for non-targeted list is just dumb stupid. Never listen to your upline if you see no results! Direct mail requires a letter with great copywriting skills to a targeted mailing list. It costs money for testing the list and you have to be prepared for some money loss. Lesson #1: Do not use direct mail initially in your campaign. I will discuss in the future how to undergo successful mailing campaign without losing your money.
  • They may have not listened to their uplines
  • Placing advertisements in the newspapers is just not smart to say the least. No one ever reads those classifieds advertisements of business opportunities. The advertisements are very expensive and it is lost between the hundreds of other ads. I placed one time an advertisement for $275 and got me absolutely no response: 0 leads. In this case, my uplines told me no one reads those and I decided not to listen: my mistake. If your upline tells you to start placing advertisement in the newspaper, then you have to study his personality and his intentions (He is just gambling with your money) Lesson #2: Never use expensive advertisement in the newspapers.
  • Some companies obligate their distributors to keep buying products more than the needed personal consumption to stay active in the company which leads to accumulating lots of unused inventory
  • Lesson#3: Quit this company. Luckily, most companies do not follow this model anymore.
  • The biggest mistake is repeating the same marketing technique and expect different results.

MLM secrets - Motivation in network marketing

I got this question in a way or another frequently. How do I motivate my downline?

I am going to discuss motivation in network marketing.

1) This is where "their" Why is so critical.
If you have read Success in 10 Steps e-book, this is the first lesson.
You remind yourself as well as your team about their emotional reasons to get them fired up again to put the time and effort to build a business.

2) If you sponsor people based on manipulation and they do not have dreams and desires then good luck in getting them off the TV.
This is why targeting your marketing is essential, sponsor people who have dreams and desires. Leave your uncle in peace, let him watch TV and drink his beer.

3) Most downline do not need motivation!
They need training. If prospecting is painful they are not going to work.
Therefore, teach your downline the principles of marketing and rejection free prospecting. They should be talking only to people who are waiting to hear from them.

What is the Network Marketing Secret of the Top 2%? They recruit from their target market.

What exactly is their target market? Is it business opportunity seekers that have expressed an interest of working from home?

Every day thousands of people go online to make money but most of them fail miserably because they either truly believe one of the 6 Internet Marketing Myths or or all of them. You can read them below and discover the grain of salt in all of them.

Myth #1: Internet Marketing is EASY

This is probably the biggest myth of all, and let me tell you Internet marketing is hard, takes time, effort not mention money and anyone who suggests otherwise is trying to sell you a bunch of horse hockey. Granted that it's comparatively easier to brick and mortar in that there's no inventory to carry, no shipping of goods no sales staff and virtually no overhead, but a lot of work is still involved.

Myth #2: ANYONE Can Make Money Online

Folks, this is simply not true. Unless someone gets off their lazy boy recliner and download/read everything they can about internet marketing, and put an action plan in motion, they will never make a dime on the internet. DO NOTHING, MAKE NOTHING.

Myth #3: You Can "GET RICH QUICK" On the Net!

This is the trap that a lot of newbie internet marketers falls into including myself when I first started, why? because scammers make it sounds so easy and let me tell you, chasing "get rich quick scheme" is a WASTE OF TIME!, money and energy. It just won't happen overnight, instead do some research and find out what people really want and need then give it to them especially a sense of reality.

Myth #4: It's FREE to Do Business Online

This is one of my favorite myths because I believed it during my first year of internet marketing and it just wasn't true then, it isn't true today. Compared to opening your first coffee shop or gift shop in downtown Los Angeles, internet business start-up cost and maintenance cost is pretty low. Once you have your domain set up, you only pay for internet connection, advertising and ongoing educations, that's it. You can't expect to make money selling free stuff and ask others to do the same. Folks! it takes money to make money.

Myth #5: It's TOO LATE to Start an Internet Business

Most super affiliate marketers would love to hear people say "It's too late now, too many competitions, I should just pack my bags and go home, the internet is too complicated, etc...". You know why? the less people they have to compete with the better which in turn will make them more money.

The fact is, it's never ever too late to start anything and that includes internet business. I firmly believe that the internet is not going anywhere and you should too. Every year the stats will show you the number of people shopping online are increasing, their spending dollars are growing and the number of people going online is increasing also.

Myth #6: The BIG Money Talk is JUST HYPE

As I've told you before, "it takes money to make money?" Well it's true, although you will be hard pressed to find experienced internet marketers to tell how much they spend on promoting and advertising. Sometimes, you have to dig a little deeper to find the truth in every hype you read. It's a fact that the people that makes alot of money online also spends alot of money on advertising, tools, resources and know how to get the job done.

If you are willing to take the necessary action to make 'big money' happen for you - it will. It takes time. You can criticize, be skeptical and sure that 'big money' can't happen for you - and it won't. Sit down and write a financial and a sound business plan. Local Chamber of Commerce can give all the info you need to get started.

If you believe that you will succeed you're right, if you believe that it won't work, you're right also.

To summarize, you have heard people's story how they're making a fortune on the internet and how easy it is but the reality is some stories are NOT out of this world or unrealistic but it just doesn't happen overnight. You just have to apply a bit of common sense into it, find what you love to do, have a game plan, stay focus and you my friend might find the right opportunity to make all your dreams come true.

Write press release for your mlm

PR101 - Write Press Releases that Sites Will Publish   by Patrick Santry


 

I get several press releases submitted to WWWCoder.com in the course of the week, and today I emailed someone to provide some tips on writing a press release. I figured the tips were pretty good and may help some of you out there as well.

You should always prefix the article with a date and location of you business. Check out the following example: http://www.wwwcoder.com/main/parentid/282/site/6099/266/d...

San Francisco (March 11, 2006) - blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

When you title the PR, make sure it's short and provides a quick summary of what you want to say. Many people just read headlines, so this is your opportunity to get your message across. You can see in the example above how they tell you what is going on right in the headline about their company and the product they are releasing.

Provide a short blurb to go along with the headline. You can only get so much of your point across in the headline. If you haven't lost the reader yet, make sure you get the point across in your leader paragraph.

When you write the bulk of the release, remember you're not writing that next novel, this is PR. Provide the facts and don't embellish too much. Who wants to read in PR that your product is the best, even revolutionary is pushing it a bit. Tell me why it is good, do you have metrics on your product? For example, increases response times by 10%, or reduces code development by 20%. If you do have metrics, back them up, provide a link to more information on your lab results. Many people aren't even going to get this far if you haven't caught their attention in the headline or lead paragraph, but if you're aiming at a serious audience like developers and technicians they want to know facts, avoid the hype.

Then when you finish the article you should include company and product information. This information should include a short summary of the services you provide.. ...organization information like formation date, specialties, etc. The product summary should include what your product does, the cost, where it can purchased, etc.

About Company ABC Company ABC was started in 1976 and focuses on creating some solutions using some tools.

About Company Product. Product provides developers with the ability to... Purchasing information: Can be downloaded at, or evaluation can be obtained at, or the cost of the product is and can be purchased from mysite.com....

Then at the bottom of the press release you should list company and contact information. Many sites or publications are going to want a contact in order to follow up and get more information about your product, service, or event. If you do not provide this information at the end of the article, it makes it look as if you're not a legitimate organization. You should include the following information with your PR:

Contact: Name & Title Company Name Address Email Phone Website:

Remember, writing PR is a bit different than writing for a Weblog, PR is going to be more formal in nature. If you want your PR syndicated to other sites expect that the site you submit it to is going to print the article in full or a summary. By using the formatting rules above you're more liable to have someone syndicate this for you. For example, my news feed is syndicated on Moreover.com and MSN.com providing you more exposure. I'm sure there are several technology sites that syndicate their content as well, so it's a good idea to write something up they'll post.

Another tip for you is once you create PR using the above format, submit it to PRWeb.com. They have different levels of service but the free service is enough to get you some good exposure.

It's Time To Proclaim Yourself An Expert

If you don't consider yourself an expert, I'd like to suggest it's high time you did.  Why?  Because proclaiming yourself an expert and sharing what you know is an excellent way to market yourself and your services.

Especially if you find yourself in a field or industry that's new or not well understood. A big part of your job in this case is education. Who better to educate than an expert!  And why not you?!

It's Free Marketing At Its Best

Plus, this kind of marketing usually won't cost you a dime. So, if you're on a tight budget, this is a great solution.

Keep in mind, when you market this way, you're not giving away your services for free, but rather you're introducing yourself, your expertise and knowledge, and your business to people who could benefit.

There are all kinds of ways you can use this marketing technique to start attracting new clients to your business.

Here are 10 ideas to get you started:

(1) Identify a topic (or topics) you know a lot about, related to your business, and that you think would be helpful and valuable to your ideal clients.

(2) Identify three, five, seven or 10 tips you could share on this topic.

(3) Write articles sharing these three, five, seven and 10 tips. Keep your articles short - between 300 and 500 words is fine.

(4) Post your free articles on article marketing web sites. There are many free article directories available. In fact, there are over 40 of them listed in the 10stepmarketing Online Marketing Resource Center.

(5) Teach teleseminars sharing these tips to groups of your ideal clients. These could be your current prospects, or you could joint venture with someone else in a related business and offer to do a teleseminar for their clients.

(6) Publish and distribute a Free Special Report covering your tips.

(7) Start publishing an ezine or e-newsletter and share tips on a regular basis.

(8) Let the media know you're an expert in your field and offer to help them if they're writing articles in your area of expertise. Submit press releases to them on a regular basis so they become familiar with you and your business.

(9) Submit articles or offer to write a column for publications read by your ideal clients.

(10) Always include some promotion of your services, or a special offer with your free content. Even if it's only a link to your website. Remember your ultimate goal is to market your services.

All of these marketing techniques are great ways to proclaim yourself an expert

Remember all it takes to become an expert is to appoint yourself THE expert. Then deliver on that by sharing valuable information using one, two or all of the marketing methods above.

This is the primary form of marketing I've used to market 10stepmarketing over the past year. I have used all 10 of these methods and the reward has been tremendous - generating amazing exposure for me and my business at little to no cost. Network Marketing Tips: Persuasion v/s Manipulation

In your network marketing business, there are two ways of prospecting: persuasion and manipulation.

You can manipulate your prospects to get them into your deal, but they will quit soon afterward.

Alternatively, you can persuade your prospects to join your network marketing company as business partners, and they will stick with you for a lifetime. Obviously, if you are looking for recurring residual income and you are looking to help people, then you need to understand persuasion versus manipulation.

Basically, the classic advertisement you see on TV is a form of manipulation: advertisers manipulate you and mess up your mind until you buy, but after you buy and receive the product you discover that it is not what you had expected, and you commit yourself to never buying from TV again. Does this sound familiar?

In your marketing network company, are you trying to manipulate or persuade your prospects?

I am going to give you four tactics of manipulation, and hopefully, you will learn them in order to resist being manipulated and manipulating other people.

As I mentioned before, using these network marketing tips will help you to grow a lasting business, not a short-lived one. A manipulator uses the following four tactics:

(1) they look for a hungry victim;

(2) they set deadlines in order to create urgency and to impede critical thinking and judgment;

(3) they use fear of loss; and

(4) they look like a benevolent authority.

Basically, they create what they call "the urgency to buy." A manipulator in network marketing using purely direct marketing tactics succeeds in getting his bank account filled at the expense of other people. A manipulator is a vampire sucking other people's blood. A manipulator doesn't care what you think after you join because he has already gotten your money. A manipulator succeeds in building checks but never gets to enjoy residual income.

Sponsoring an affiliate using hard manipulative closing techniques leaves the new affiliate with some type of resentment against you. Is that the type of relationship you are looking to build with a business partner?

In your network marketing business you want to persuade people so that after they join they feel even better and they stick around forever. A persuader may use similar tactics as a manipulator, but his intentions are always for the good of his prospects. The final end of persuasion is mutual, lasting satisfaction.

In order to be a master persuader for success in network marketing, keep your intentions in check.
