Every day thousands of people go online to make money but most of them fail miserably because they either truly believe one of the 6 Internet Marketing Myths or or all of them. You can read them below and discover the grain of salt in all of them.

Myth #1: Internet Marketing is EASY

This is probably the biggest myth of all, and let me tell you Internet marketing is hard, takes time, effort not mention money and anyone who suggests otherwise is trying to sell you a bunch of horse hockey. Granted that it's comparatively easier to brick and mortar in that there's no inventory to carry, no shipping of goods no sales staff and virtually no overhead, but a lot of work is still involved.

Myth #2: ANYONE Can Make Money Online

Folks, this is simply not true. Unless someone gets off their lazy boy recliner and download/read everything they can about internet marketing, and put an action plan in motion, they will never make a dime on the internet. DO NOTHING, MAKE NOTHING.

Myth #3: You Can "GET RICH QUICK" On the Net!

This is the trap that a lot of newbie internet marketers falls into including myself when I first started, why? because scammers make it sounds so easy and let me tell you, chasing "get rich quick scheme" is a WASTE OF TIME!, money and energy. It just won't happen overnight, instead do some research and find out what people really want and need then give it to them especially a sense of reality.

Myth #4: It's FREE to Do Business Online

This is one of my favorite myths because I believed it during my first year of internet marketing and it just wasn't true then, it isn't true today. Compared to opening your first coffee shop or gift shop in downtown Los Angeles, internet business start-up cost and maintenance cost is pretty low. Once you have your domain set up, you only pay for internet connection, advertising and ongoing educations, that's it. You can't expect to make money selling free stuff and ask others to do the same. Folks! it takes money to make money.

Myth #5: It's TOO LATE to Start an Internet Business

Most super affiliate marketers would love to hear people say "It's too late now, too many competitions, I should just pack my bags and go home, the internet is too complicated, etc...". You know why? the less people they have to compete with the better which in turn will make them more money.

The fact is, it's never ever too late to start anything and that includes internet business. I firmly believe that the internet is not going anywhere and you should too. Every year the stats will show you the number of people shopping online are increasing, their spending dollars are growing and the number of people going online is increasing also.

Myth #6: The BIG Money Talk is JUST HYPE

As I've told you before, "it takes money to make money?" Well it's true, although you will be hard pressed to find experienced internet marketers to tell how much they spend on promoting and advertising. Sometimes, you have to dig a little deeper to find the truth in every hype you read. It's a fact that the people that makes alot of money online also spends alot of money on advertising, tools, resources and know how to get the job done.

If you are willing to take the necessary action to make 'big money' happen for you - it will. It takes time. You can criticize, be skeptical and sure that 'big money' can't happen for you - and it won't. Sit down and write a financial and a sound business plan. Local Chamber of Commerce can give all the info you need to get started.

If you believe that you will succeed you're right, if you believe that it won't work, you're right also.

To summarize, you have heard people's story how they're making a fortune on the internet and how easy it is but the reality is some stories are NOT out of this world or unrealistic but it just doesn't happen overnight. You just have to apply a bit of common sense into it, find what you love to do, have a game plan, stay focus and you my friend might find the right opportunity to make all your dreams come true.

As mentioned earlier, network marketing is a business, and a business needs constant checking if things are working well as it should be, ensure the probability of a higher income, and confirm if everybody's doing their job well.

Write press release for your mlm

PR101 - Write Press Releases that Sites Will Publish   by Patrick Santry


 

I get several press releases submitted to WWWCoder.com in the course of the week, and today I emailed someone to provide some tips on writing a press release. I figured the tips were pretty good and may help some of you out there as well.

You should always prefix the article with a date and location of you business. Check out the following example: http://www.wwwcoder.com/main/parentid/282/site/6099/266/d...

San Francisco (March 11, 2006) - blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

When you title the PR, make sure it's short and provides a quick summary of what you want to say. Many people just read headlines, so this is your opportunity to get your message across. You can see in the example above how they tell you what is going on right in the headline about their company and the product they are releasing.

Provide a short blurb to go along with the headline. You can only get so much of your point across in the headline. If you haven't lost the reader yet, make sure you get the point across in your leader paragraph.

When you write the bulk of the release, remember you're not writing that next novel, this is PR. Provide the facts and don't embellish too much. Who wants to read in PR that your product is the best, even revolutionary is pushing it a bit. Tell me why it is good, do you have metrics on your product? For example, increases response times by 10%, or reduces code development by 20%. If you do have metrics, back them up, provide a link to more information on your lab results. Many people aren't even going to get this far if you haven't caught their attention in the headline or lead paragraph, but if you're aiming at a serious audience like developers and technicians they want to know facts, avoid the hype.

Then when you finish the article you should include company and product information. This information should include a short summary of the services you provide.. ...organization information like formation date, specialties, etc. The product summary should include what your product does, the cost, where it can purchased, etc.

About Company ABC Company ABC was started in 1976 and focuses on creating some solutions using some tools.

About Company Product. Product provides developers with the ability to... Purchasing information: Can be downloaded at, or evaluation can be obtained at, or the cost of the product is and can be purchased from mysite.com....

Then at the bottom of the press release you should list company and contact information. Many sites or publications are going to want a contact in order to follow up and get more information about your product, service, or event. If you do not provide this information at the end of the article, it makes it look as if you're not a legitimate organization. You should include the following information with your PR:

Contact: Name & Title Company Name Address Email Phone Website:

Remember, writing PR is a bit different than writing for a Weblog, PR is going to be more formal in nature. If you want your PR syndicated to other sites expect that the site you submit it to is going to print the article in full or a summary. By using the formatting rules above you're more liable to have someone syndicate this for you. For example, my news feed is syndicated on Moreover.com and MSN.com providing you more exposure. I'm sure there are several technology sites that syndicate their content as well, so it's a good idea to write something up they'll post.

Another tip for you is once you create PR using the above format, submit it to PRWeb.com. They have different levels of service but the free service is enough to get you some good exposure.

Especially if you find yourself in a field or industry that's new or not well understood. A big part of your job in this case is education. Who better to educate than an expert!  And why not you?!

In your network marketing business, there are two ways of prospecting: persuasion and manipulation.

You can manipulate your prospects to get them into your deal, but they will quit soon afterward.

Alternatively, you can persuade your prospects to join your network marketing company as business partners, and they will stick with you for a lifetime. Obviously, if you are looking for recurring residual income and you are looking to help people, then you need to understand persuasion versus manipulation.

Basically, the classic advertisement you see on TV is a form of manipulation: advertisers manipulate you and mess up your mind until you buy, but after you buy and receive the product you discover that it is not what you had expected, and you commit yourself to never buying from TV again. Does this sound familiar?

In your marketing network company, are you trying to manipulate or persuade your prospects?

I am going to give you four tactics of manipulation, and hopefully, you will learn them in order to resist being manipulated and manipulating other people.

As I mentioned before, using these network marketing tips will help you to grow a lasting business, not a short-lived one. A manipulator uses the following four tactics:

(1) they look for a hungry victim;

(2) they set deadlines in order to create urgency and to impede critical thinking and judgment;

(3) they use fear of loss; and

(4) they look like a benevolent authority.

Basically, they create what they call "the urgency to buy." A manipulator in network marketing using purely direct marketing tactics succeeds in getting his bank account filled at the expense of other people. A manipulator is a vampire sucking other people's blood. A manipulator doesn't care what you think after you join because he has already gotten your money. A manipulator succeeds in building checks but never gets to enjoy residual income.

Sponsoring an affiliate using hard manipulative closing techniques leaves the new affiliate with some type of resentment against you. Is that the type of relationship you are looking to build with a business partner?

In your network marketing business you want to persuade people so that after they join they feel even better and they stick around forever. A persuader may use similar tactics as a manipulator, but his intentions are always for the good of his prospects. The final end of persuasion is mutual, lasting satisfaction.

In order to be a master persuader for success in network marketing, keep your intentions in check.

Press release: How to use in network marketing

Last saturday in the mentoring for free, we discussed using Press releases for lead generation.

You can send a press release offline and online.

    Offline press releases are different from online press releases.


1) You can write effective offline Press release mostly in small towns.

Your purpose in offline ones is to get a call from a reporter and you get interviewed.
This allows you to get free publicity to yourself and your business.

How to write an offline press release?

You have to write a good headline that attracts the intrest and the curiosity of the newspaper reporters, make a compelling story and hopefully you get a phone call from them. In the most case scenario, they will throw your press release in the garbage, lol. You know what you should do then, right? Write another one!

If you know the reporter in a small town, just give him a call and invite him to a nice dinner ;)

Press releases will allow you to get more credibility than those expensive advertising that most people ignore.

2)Online press releases are different. You do not expect reporters to call you in most case scenarios. You hope that search engines will pick it up and you get free traffic and leads this way.

In order to write an effective press release, you need to have your title compelling but also full of keywords! For example, my press release headline had mlm network marketing tips and it is present in the search engines on page 3 and I get traffic from it. It did not cost me anything.

You may use multiple free or paid services for press release distribution.

Basically, you have to answer the questions: Who, when, what, where !

Ok, do you want another secret: No one knows better than you about your story, just write it down and pay$5 for someone to edit and proof it for you, lol.

Ok, one more secret: Just find a good press release and change the topic to your own topic and keep their style and templates!

Most people think writing articles and press releases a difficut taks to do. I tell you just do it, you will get better with time!

Leadership in Network Marketing requires sometimes to look at things in ways that others don't, to see things in ways others never will, and to think in ways others don't dare. This artice is a hard hitting article because it tells the truth about quitting in MLM and Life. It is a different approach to quitting and tells of a different way of thinking about quitting on your dreams. It will make you think.

It's called "Leading Edge Thinking" by some folks.

And there is something that we at PassionFire call the "MLM Quitter's Graveyard of Dreams" which says it all. It reads what the "Networking Dead" would want to say to their MLM Company and their Upline, but doesn't dare. It reads what the "Walking Corpse of Failure" in MLM would want to say to the people that go after them in most cases, but don't dare.

Why?

Inferno Secret:

Others have succeeded, BIG! HUGE! But not them.

This Tombstone in this Graveyard of Dreams was written hour by hour, day by day, week by week, month by month, with the Letters engraved by the Pen of Inactivity, Ink of Self Doubt, the Hand of Procrastination, and the Letters of Deception.

What does this Network Marketing Tombstone say?

Why would we learn from it?

How can we change ourselves before it's too late?

You decide.

Imagine, it's foggy, and raining, and you are walking in the Graveyard of Dreams, and you find this tombstone suddenly. It is old, and chipped, and cracked. You just stare at it for a minute, and then kneel down. You wipe the mud off of the marble stone, and look at it.

It reads:

Here lay a deceased Network Marketer's Dreams. Full of cancer of "Group Think" and "They know what they are talking about-itis."

The words penned but never uttered are written on this tombstone for all to see, and be advised this was not death by Natural Causes, but by Natural Excuses. Excuses taught to them by the Poisoned Anthrax of the Mediocrity crowd.

All have regrets for listening to the Death Toll of the average:

I wished I would've Talked to more people

Sad, but true. The ring of the death bell of MLM constantly cries out for that, because they realize too late that NUMBERS were part of the Success Formula. They were too focused on being BUSY, and not Building a Business. They were too focused on begging People, not Building them. They were too focused on Hanging on to the ones that were leading them on, not the ones who could lead them into Success…

I wished I would've been more consistent.

Woe to the "Spare timers!" You can work this business either Full time, Part time, or Spare time. And most ork it Spare Time, only when they can Spare some time and "Fit it In." They will, but that will create such a lack of Oxygen for your business. The Oxygen of MOMENTUM, that you will soon find your business passing out, and then passing on.

I wished I would've trained my people, not Play-Trained them.

The sound of this rings hollow, for the Training is not to be played with, but to be embraced and realize this is what breathes life into the Soul of the Distributor's Dreams.

The bell of Regret rings with an empty sound because Playing at MLM training is the same thing as Playing with Land Mines. Both will explode underneath you without any warning.

I wished I would've been IN the business, not just in the Computer.

The scent of realization sometimes hits hard, and can burn. But there is a certain mindset and heartset that you must acquire and grow. If the Business is not in you, then you are only in the computer, waiting to be deleted.

I wished I would've given it just once. All I had, to obtain all I wanted.

Most people never give 50% of their best, let alone 100%. That will kill a business quicker than anything. For this business doesn't require 100%. It DEMANDS IT! If you give it 100% for 90 days, as hard as you can go, you will never have a tombstone like this.

I wished I would not have been so good at Lieing to myself.

We all lie to ourselves in life. We all deceive ourselves to try to convince ourselves that we add up, that we are good enough, that we gave it all we had, and in the meantime we are killing our self respect because deep down in the recesses of our hearts, we know it isn't true. And the cancer of "The Lie" eats away at our ability to face reality at what we are REALLY doing, and it slowly kills the belief in this Network Marketing business.

I wished I would've believed in me more.

The Pneumonia of Unworthiness is a killer. It can reach down inside of you and destroy everything that you strive to do. We all doubt ourselves in MLM, but it 's the ones who take a shot of "If they did it, I can do it' that survive and thrive in this business. You can believe in yourself more. Find someone who will let you lean on their belief while your's heals. Magic Words of Cold Market Prospecting. These words can
open more doors than you ever thought possible. I used them
for years, and they opened thousands of doors. They also
help recruit a ton of folks.

What would that phrase be?

"Maybe You Can Help me."

These words can open doors, create curiosity, and open the hearts of many people to give you a helping hand in your Network Marketing Business.

You may be wondering what do you say after those words.
After all, what happens if that phrase gets someone's attention? What do you do? What do you say?

This brings us to the Golden Law of Cold MLM Market
Prospecting:

"Recruiting Starts after the initial Contact..."

What does that mean?

We found that if we didn't try to recruit them right off
the bat, but waited till the second meeting or even third,
our ratio for success went up. And it went up tremendously. Many people have a tendency to jump into a conversation with a new prospect, without realizing that it may require some time to develop the relationship, and even give it time to BE THE RIGHT TIME to pursue the conversation full force.

Don't become an MLM Cold Market "ATTACK RECRUITER."

Give your cold prospect room to breathe, and let a rapport start to develop a little. If the prospect is cold to the idea, give it some time. Hold more conversations. The desire to help may be there, but give it time to grow and be revealed. A lot of times, it won't happen immediately, due to the intial lack of any interest on the prospects part, or bad experiences with others.

Wait till the second conversation to bring up your desire
to seek them for your business, or who they might know.

This is only professional, and you are giving the
relationship time to solidify and then mature into a real possible friendship.

If you jump the gun too quick in MLM Cold Market
recruiting, you will end up shooting yourself in the foot.

Here are the "5 HOT Phrases for Cold market MLM
Prospecting" These are mainly for people that you will meet
in the business community when Net-Working your business,
which you should be doing all the time!

The 5 Hot Phrases for MLM Cold Market Prospecting:

1) "I am a professional in the community like you."

2) "I am introducing myself to .”

3) "I love networking with other professionals."

4) "Maybe there is a way we could help each other."

5) "Would you be open to some coffee sometime?"

Let's take a look at these powerful opening phrases:

1) "I am a professional in the Community."

This states an important fact: You are one of them.

And this will create the start of a CONNECTION right off
the bat, and also establish who you are to the Cold
prospect, from one professional to another. Network
Marketing is a profession, and you need to start treating
it like one, if you are not.

2) "I am introducing myself."

This sets up an important paradigm. You are taking the initiative to introduce and meet people in the community, and you are a take charge type of person. And it shows you really want to meet folks, as well it shows Leadership.

3) "I love networking with other professionals."

This states one thing: You value other professionals as a resource. And you also show that you appreciate the fact that networking does work in the business world And also that as a resource, a professional has value to you and your Network Marketing business, and vice versa.

4) "Maybe there is a way we could help each other."

This establishes that you are willing to Increase and
Improve your prospects business and life. And also you do
care about helping people, plus you are showing Potential
value right upfront.

5) "Would you be open for coffee sometime?"

This is the proactive part of it, and it simply gives them
a chance to engage the budding relationship,or not. Most professionals do have an interest in increasing their business, so you will get some interest, and some time with many of them.

But if they say they are not interested?

Be a professional, and thank them for their time and wish
them well. And see if you can get a card for a thank you
note to send them.

"May I at least have a card in case I run across someone
who would want your services?"

Understand that you as a network marketer should be out
weekly meeting folks who may need your products and looking
for you. But most don't do that as they stay tied to one or
two ways to prospect.

You need Multiple Lead Vehicles in Network Marketing.

Millionaires in this business have multiple lead generating vehicles working for them, all the time, everywhere, with anyone who is looking.

sure of this:

You put yourself on the other side of the table think about

There is a Myth, a Lie, a Bogus concept that has been
espoused to the MLM Industry for years, and recently in a seminar, I was asked during one of the breaks about it.

So many ideas and concepts are promoted in this industry
that DO work, but on the other hand, there are many that
don't work, but yet they still promoted with fervor and
fire.

One is The MLM Recruiting Myth.

What is the recruiting myth that has been focused on but
yet has proven to not work? This one has been promoted for years, and has had a negative impact on tens of thousands of distributors.

I am going to get some heat over this, but I would rather
catch the heat, and tell the truth, than not.

INFERNO Secret:

MLM Recruiting is NOT just a Numbers game, as much as a CONNECTION and CONVICTION game.

Did you get that?

Network Marketing Recruiting NOT just a Numbers game, but a Connecting and Conviction process.

Why?

I cannot tell you how many folks in Network Marketing have
told me that they have worked a TON of numbers, but have
yet to strike Gold in this business. And I recently saw a
list of calls a distributor had made. She had made over 800 calls and over 500 people talked to in a certain time period. And yet the person had recruited only 2 people.

2 PEOPLE!

What's Missing here? What's the problem?

Let's take a look at what she did:

1) The Numbers were there.

2) The Names were there.

3) The Phone calls where there.

4) The Effort was there.

5) The long distance bill was there.

But why was this sweet young lady still struggling and not finding the Success she was seeking?

GOOD QUESTION!

The "Lack Of" Factor in MLM Success.

It was due to a Lack of Connection, and Conviction in many respects.

She lacked a TRUE Connection to the MLM Industry, her
company, her products, and the income potential that was
there before her. Her heart was simply NOT connected to it.
She was NOT working this business, but only TRYING it, and people were FEELING that in her words, and perceived that as a negative. She was focused on what SHE could get out of it, not what the prospect could gain from her call.

People today are too sharp and experienced because of the onslaught of Telemarketers, to pay attention to most sales calls. And the ones they do pay attention to, even with friends, are the ones they CONNECT with, and feel the Conviction of the person and the willingness to help Increase, Expand, Enlarge, and Empower their life and future.

I asked this lady to say what she said to the 500 calls and
I listened. And I just shook my head. This woman was
working the numbers right, but working the MLM prospects totally WRONG. It was a sales pitch, and there was really no Conviction or Connection in her voice. There was only a sales pitch and an "I want your money" focus.

INFERNO Secret:

You can work all the numbers you want, but if the prospect
is not communicated to CORRECTLY with Connection and Conviction, you have wasted most of the calls and your time.

Ok, here is the Million Dollar question:

How do you create Connection and Conviction?

INFERNO Secret:

Recruit them through THEIR eyes, not yours.

People join Direct Sales companies for THEIR reasons, not yours. And if you talk to 500 people and don't take the time to see what is important to them and what they want to change and improve in their life, something is NOT going to
happen:

They won't HEAR you. They will be listening, but they won't hear what you are saying.

Find something you can relate to with them. Find something
you have in common about the future. Find something that
they want to change in their life and show them how your company can help bring that change about. And then display a sincere Conviction in helping them obtain it with your company and the business it offers.

Working the MLM Numbers.

You MUST understand that Numbers ARE important in Network Marketing. But just as in any other thing, the WAY you work the numbers is just as important, if not more important. Don't be seduced with the myth that all you need are just numbers.

You need the MLM CONNECTION and CONVICTION to go along with
it. They will make your efforts 10 times more powerful, and your check 10 times more exciting!
