Press release: How to use in network marketing
Last saturday in the mentoring for free, we discussed using Press releases for lead generation.
You can send a press release offline and online.
- Offline press releases are different from online press releases.
1) You can write effective offline Press release mostly in small towns.
Your purpose in offline ones is to get a call from a reporter and you get interviewed.
This allows you to get free publicity to yourself and your business.
How to write an offline press release?
You have to write a good headline that attracts the intrest and the curiosity of the newspaper reporters, make a compelling story and hopefully you get a phone call from them. In the most case scenario, they will throw your press release in the garbage, lol. You know what you should do then, right? Write another one!

If you know the reporter in a small town, just give him a call and invite him to a nice dinner ;)
Press releases will allow you to get more credibility than those expensive advertising that most people ignore.

Just use your imagination.
Now, in the mentoring for free. Richard and Dave recommended to use Controversial issues.
They recommend that you check the news, and spot a way to use the current news to create a controversy!
Creating controversies is very effective in writing articles, discussion groups, blogs, etc...
2)Online press releases are different. You do not expect reporters to call you in most case scenarios. You hope that search engines will pick it up and you get free traffic and leads this way.
In order to write an effective press release, you need to have your title compelling but also full of keywords! For example, my press release headline had mlm network marketing tips and it is present in the search engines on page 3 and I get traffic from it. It did not cost me anything.
You may use multiple free or paid services for press release distribution.

Basically, you have to answer the questions: Who, when, what, where !
Do you want a real secret?
If you just do not know how to write, just HIRE somoene, lol. You can go to www.elance.com
and place your project for bidding and you will find lots of people to write it for you. (Do not pay more than $80 for it)
Ok, do you want another secret: No one knows better than you about your story, just write it down and pay$5 for someone to edit and proof it for you, lol.
I am drunk today, I am revealing too many secrets!
Ok, one more secret: Just find a good press release and change the topic to your own topic and keep their style and templates!
Most people think writing articles and press releases a difficut taks to do. I tell you just do it, you will get better with time!
While writing this post, I got a cool idea for a press release. I am getting to work.
